FREESTYLE, STREET DANCE + CHEERLEADING INSTRUCTOR

I first started dancing with Tap Dance classes from a young age, but then went on to take Disco Freestyle classes at Fusion Dance Centres which I really enjoyed. From then I knew that I had a big passion for dancing and took other classes in Street Dance, Rock n Roll and Latin American. In my teenage years, I completed the entire Amateur Medal Examination Syllabus in Disco Freestyle and Rock n Roll.

At 16 I studied at Hitchin College where I achieved a BTEC National Diploma in Dance. Within this course I studied Tap, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Singing and Contemporary Dance, which really broadened my choreographic repertoire. After college I went on to study at University where I gained a BA Hons Degree in Dance and Professional Practice.

Throughout my studying I have taken part in many shows and Dance competitions, have appeared in a professional pantomime, 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' with famous Boyzone star Shane Lynch. Also I performed at Her Majesty's theatre at the West End in London and have been a backing Freestyle dancer for the pop artist Taio Cruz.

I have gained my Freestyle Associate I.D.T.A. Teaching Qualification and have also completed my BCA Cheerleading Qualifications. I currently teach in many secondary and primary schools and have a strong drive for teaching Freestyle Dance, Street Dance and Cheerleading. 

I am very excited to be part of the team at Mirrors Dance, where I have recently re-commenced my Latin American training under the excellent tuition of Trudi, who has an outstanding reputation for training Professional Dance Teachers.  I will always strive to further myself in Dance, and stay up-to-date, using modern and fresh techniques and exciting choreography, so that the children enjoy every single one of my classes.
